Texans Running Back Suffers Ankle Injury On Sunday

He was forced out of Sunday's game early.

Houston Texans running back Dameon Pierce was reportedly seen limping in the locker room following the team's 27-23 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

Pierce suffered an ankle injury in the fourth quarter but had the ankle taped up and tried to return, before quickly being ruled out after head coach Lovie Smith said Pierce was unable to play.

The rooking running back was having an impressive game against one of the best defenses in the game before the injury, rushing 22 times for 78 yards and a touchdown.

The twenty-two-year-old's status will be something to keep a close eye on this week, leading up to the team's game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

In the first 13 games of his career, Pierce has rushed 220 times for 939 yards and four touchdowns. He was the Texans' fourth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
