Result Of Week 16 Suspension Appeals Handed Down By The NFL
Following the Week 16 blowout of the Denver Broncos by the Los Angeles Rams, there were two 1-game suspensions handed down due to the altercation at the end of the game, given to Broncos defensive end Randy Gregory and LA's offensive guard Oday Aboushi.
Now, the NFL's Appeals Officers Derrick Brooks and James Thrash have decided upon a $50,000 fine for Gregory and a $12,000 fine for Aboushi instead, meaning that their appeals will be successful, and both will be free to play in their teams final two games of the 2022 season.
The altercation was just one of a few in this game, as the Broncos offence was dealing with its own issues on the sidelines, but this was the biggest of the lot, and while the NFL didn't reveal exactly why the suspension was taken away, it's good to see them being flexible and allowing players to finish out the season.Appeals officers Derrick Brooks and James Thrash, jointly appointed by the NFL and NFLPA, have reduced the discipline assessed to Randy Gregory and Oday Aboushi, respectively, from one-game suspensions to fines of $50,000 for Gregory and $12,000 for Aboushi.
