Pickett suffered a concussion eight snaps into the Steelers' Week 14 16-14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He failed to complete a pass and absorbed one sack before his exit.
Trubisky shouldn't prove a major downgrade for the Steelers against the Panthers today. He actually has narrowly outperformed Pickett this year in net passing yards per game (169.2 to 163.6) and net passing yards per attempt (6.04 to 5.14), so the Steelers passing attack could be all the better for it.
Trubisky has completed his first six passes for 68 yards in today's game, leading the Steelers to a 14-6 lead over the Panthers midway through the second quarter.
