Philadelphia Eagles Sign Veteran Punter
The Philadelphia Eagles are arguably the best team in the NFL at this point of the season, with a 12-1 record and a playoff spot already secured, and with some smart additions at the trade deadline, this is a team that looks primed and ready for a Super Bowl run.
Unfortunately, their punter Arryn Siposs was injured in the dominant Week 14 victory over the New York Giants, but like the Eagles have done all year long, they've made a fantastic move to make up for it, as they have now officially signed three-time Pro Bowl punter Brett Kern to take the role for the remainder of 2022.
The two-time All-Pro has been a star in the NFL since making his debut back in 2009 with the Broncos, and while he hasn't yet punted in 2022 after being released by Tennessee in August, he's got the experience of big time games to fall back on, something which the Eagles expect will be needed in 2022.Update: the #Eagles indeed plan to sign veteran punter Brett Kern, who was in Philadelphia today in the aftermath of Arryn Siposs’ injury. https://t.co/UvkyOLPdEP
