McCrary signed on with the team on Nov. 1, but was never elevated to the active roster. He was released to make room for the addition of Tae Hayes, who was signed to their practice squad in a corresponding move.
McCrary has spent the last two seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, and will now look for an opportunity with another team.
The Ravens signed McCrary as a priority free agent after the 2021 NFL Draft. In 33 collegiate games at Saginaw State, he rushed for 1,889 yards and 28 touchdowns, ranking fourth all-time on the team's TD list.
