Packers Agree To Massive Extension For Offensive Lineman
The Green Bay Packers 2022 season certainly didn't go the way they expected, but on a team full of talent, they just need to add some weapons and should bounce back in 2022 behind Aaron Rodgers, and now, they've locked up one of his most valuable protectors for the next four seasons.
That would be Elgton Jenkins, who the Packers drafted in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, and has been a great player ever since, playing in 52 games with 50 starts and making the Pro Bowl in 2020, and now, he's been given a 4-year deal with a base value of $68 million and a max value of $72 million, a big deal for the talented young guard.
At just 25-years of age, he's still got plenty of growing to do, but clearly has the trust of the offensive line and their franchise Quarterback, and after some solid play for the past few seasons, he has deservingly got a pay day that Green Bay likely believe he could have got elsewhere, so they moved to lock him down long-term.Sources: The #Packers and star OL Elgton Jenkins have agreed to terms on a massive 4-year extension worth $68M base value with a max value of $74M.
