NFL Rumours: Houston Texans Target For Next Head Coach Revealed
It's no secret that the Houston Texans are one of the NFL's worst teams right now, with a 1-11-1 record having them in prime position for their choice of Quarterback in the 2023 NFL Draft, but the question right now remains, who will be the Head Coach as the Texans take their next step in a rebuild?
While the roster that Lovie Smith inherited certainly wasn't a talented one, there was a feeling in Houston that he could make some success out of them, but after the start in 2022, his seat is growing ever hotter, to the point where some names around the league believe that he could be done after this season concludes.
If that is the case, it appears that Houston have locked in on their first target, as ESPN's Jeremy Fowler has reported that Eagles Defensive Coordinator Jonathan Gannon is atop their list to potentially replace him, and while the talk is certainly premature at this point, he would be a solid candidate.Houston Texans HC Lovie Smith is “currently on shaky ground” after a 1-11-1 start to the season.
