NFL Rumors: New York Jets Could Keep Young QB Beyond 2022
The New York Jets have made tremendous strides in 2022 to turning this franchise around, with massive pickups in the form of Breece Hall, Alijah Vera-Tucker, Elijah Moore, Sauce Gardner and Garrett Wilson over the past two years, but one player they appear to have whiffed badly on is Quarterback Zach Wilson, who was expected to be the future of this franchise.
After being given chances and proving that he's unable to make the throws necessary at the NFL level, ESPN's Jay Glazer reported that the team was officially going to move on from him at seasons end, but Head Coach Robert Saleh has refuted those claims in recent days.
When asked on Monday, Saleh told the reporters that it was pure speculation, and that he and this franchise aren't going to give up on Wilson, and while there's a solid chance that this is just a way to get through the year without the locker room imploding, it's certainly an interesting answer to keep an eye on.Robert Saleh says the report from FOX that the #Jets plan on moving on from Zach Wilson after this season is "all speculation."
