NFL Rumors: Las Vegas Raiders Coach Open To Benching Starting QB
The Las Vegas Raiders 2022 season has certainly been a disappointing one thus far, as the offence has struggled to put time together on the field, with injuries to Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow halting their momentum at different points, but it's also safe to say that the Quarterback position hasn't quite lived up to the expectations.
Derek Carr was drafted by the Raiders back in the 2014 NFL Draft, and was recently handed a massive contract extension, with a three-year, $121.5 million deal coming after the 2021 campaign, but according to recent comments by Head Coach Josh McDaniels, that doesn't exclude him from the possibility of being benched.
While he hasn't outright said that Carr will be benched, when asked, he didn't dismiss the possibility, and with an offence that's set up to succeed, this off-season will certainly be an interesting one, as they will need to make a huge decision on the direction they're going in at the Quarterback position.(ICYMI) Raiders coach Josh McDaniels doesn't dismiss possibility of benching QB Derek Carrhttps://t.co/rP6gJqPi6x pic.twitter.com/uyEJZzpaFd
