New England Patriots QB Explains His Actions From The Week 16 Loss
The New England Patriots have understandably fallen off since Tom Brady left town to head to Tampa Bay, and his replacement Mac Jones has done a solid job since that point, but unfortunately, the team just isn't quite the same, and in recent times, Jones has come under plenty of scrutiny for what many describe as 'dirty' plays.
Week 16 of the 2022 season was yet another example of that, as he did what many considered was an incredibly dirty block when he fell in front of Bengals defensive back Eli Apple as he was attempting to support a defensive Touchdown, and now, he has defended his actions.
In an interview, he claimed that it was a split second decision, and defended it by telling the interviewer that he gets hit a lot too, but after two questionable slides last year and a blatant twist of Brian Burns' ankle, it's safe to say that at this point, it's hard to defend his actions.Mac Jones was on WEEI & explained his low block on Eli Apple:

“Kind of went down in front of him, trying to stop a fast guy from getting to another fast guy … It's a split-second decision … I get hit a lot, too.
