Gillespie made his NFL debut last season, recording eight tackles while playing mostly on special teams over 11 games as a rookie with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Gillespie was then traded to the Tennessee Titans in August, but was released as part of the team's final cuts before the start of the season. The twenty-four-year-old then joined the Jaguars and appeared in three games with the team without recording a single statistic.
He'll look to sign on with another practice squad. Gillespie is a former fourth-round pick by the Raiders in the 2021 NFL Draft.
