Injury Update On Tampa Bay Buccaneers Safety
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lead in the NFC South is somehow still alive, despite their 6-8 record on the season, and if they are going to keep that lead and head into the playoffs with a chance to make some noise, they need to find a way to get healthy.
Unfortunately, safety Antoine Winfield has struggled in that department in recent weeks, as he's missed time with an ankle injury, and did not play in the second half of the Week 15 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals after re-aggravating the same injury.
Now, Head Coach Todd Bowles has confirmed that he is 'day-to-day' going forward, and with a matchup against the Arizona Cardinals looming on Sunday, the hope is that he will be able to return, but if they are confident in their chances at making the playoffs, they'll need to weigh up how they proceed with his injury over the final three weeks of the year.Bucs coach Todd Bowles said Antoine Winfield Jr. is “day to day” with his ankle injury. He did not play in the second half after re-aggravating his ankle injury that kept him out the last two weeks.
