Injury Update On San Francisco 49ers QB
The San Francisco 49ers can't seem to catch a break with injuries this season, but despite this, they've managed to get the lead in the NFC West over the Seattle Seahawks, and with all their talent, they have a good chance at making a run through the playoffs, seemingly without Jimmy Garroppollo.
Today however, Adam Schefter revealed that there's a chance Jimmy G can make a return for the playoffs, as the injury he suffered in the Week 13 win over Miami, with surgery not needed for the veteran. The recovery time for this is 7-8 weeks, and with the divisional playoff round being exactly 7 weeks from the date of his injury, this presents the 49ers with some hope.Sources: Doctors concluded today that 49ers' QB Jimmy Garoppolo does not need foot surgery, it is not a Lisfranc injury, and if rehab goes smoothly, he could have a chance to return in 7-8 weeks, making him a potential playoff contributor. pic.twitter.com/beYu1Pa9KU

Right now, they've still got plenty of work to do if they want to get to that point, and with the inexperienced Brock Purdy their likely starter going forward, he could certainly play well enough to give this team and the fan base confident, but right now, if Jimmy can get back ahead of a potential playoff run, it would be a major boost for the 49ers.
