Injury Update On Commanders Talented Defensive Lineman
He left Week 13's game against the New York Giants early.
Washington Commanders defensive lineman Montez Sweat is reportedly still in concussion protocols, however, he's expected to return to practice on Wednesday.
Rivera said DE's Montez Sweat and James Smith-Williams remain in the concussion protocol. He said they have progressed and should be on the field tomorrow. OL Sam Cosmi is dealing with a sprained ankle; said they'll see how he handles that Wed morning.

Sweat suffered a concussion in the team's Week 13 tie with the Giants, but he was unable to clear the league's protocols during the team's Week 14 bye.
If he does indeed return to practice this week, that would put him in a good spot leading up to Sunday's rematch with the Giants.
In 13 games this season, the twenty-six-year-old has 36 total tackles, seven sacks and two passes defended.
