Injury Update On Buccaneers Star Offensive Lineman
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers went down yet again in Week 15, but due to the lack of success from other teams in the NFC South, they remain on top of the division with a 6-8 record, and at some point, if no one else steps up, it looks like Tom Brady will sneak his way into the playoffs, which is bad news for every other team in the NFC.
If they are to turn their season around and head into the playoffs with any semblance of momentum, they'll need to get healthy, so the teams latest update on All-Pro Offensive Tackle Tristan Wirfs should fill the team with plenty of confidence that the turnaround can come sooner, rather than later.
The update doesn't yet tell us when Wirfs could return, but it sounds like Head Coach Todd Bowles is optimistic that he could be back soon, and if he can get back and provide this line with a boost, this could be a team that builds momentum quickly, and they'll need it if they are to hold off Carolina and Atlanta in the division race.Todd Bowles indicated that Tristan Wirfs is probably closer to returning than Vita Vea, who suffered a calf strain against the 49ers and missed this week’s game vs Cincy.
