Injury Update On Broncos Russell Wilson

He took a scary-looking hit on Sunday.

Denver Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett said that quarterback Russell Wilson is in the concussion protocol, putting his status for Week 15's game against the Arizona Cardinals in doubt.

With regard to Wilson's status for this week, Hackett said, ''We'll go through the step-by-step process and do it the right way.''

According to Jeff Legwold of ESPN, Wilson said he ''felt great" when he was examined by the team's medical staff on Monday.

With the team in a losing season, and having given Wilson a massive contract last offseason, the Broncos may opt to be cautious and hold the quarterback out this week and maybe more. If Wilson can't go this week, Brett Rypien will fill in at quarterback.

In 12 games this season, the thirty-four-year-old Wilson has thrown for 2,805 yards, 11 touchdowns and six interceptions, to go along with a 60.4 completion percentage, the lowest mark of his career.
