Houston Texans Place Two Star Rookies On Injured Reserve
The Houston Texans 1-11-1 season has been brutal for this young roster, but not surprising given the lack of depth and elite level talent, and while they've unearthed some future starters this season, there's still plenty of work to do before this team can be considered a contender in the AFC South once again.
Unfortunately for Houston, their two brightest spots in 2022, running back Dameon Pierce and cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. have now both been placed on season ending Injured Reserve, meaning that promising rookie years are now over, and the Texans will look to the future.
While a talented running back and a shut down cornerback are solid pieces, this team is still a long way off, but they are two great pieces to build around nonetheless, so if Houston can add to this defence and a young rookie Quarterback in the 2023 draft, they'll have some optimism moving forward. The Texans have placed star rookie RB Dameon Pierce on injured reserve. His season is now over.
