Green Bay Packers Rookie Wide Receiver Expects to Return in Week 15
The Green Bay Packers may finally have their wide receiver corps at full strength when they face the Los Angeles Rams in Week 15, but it may be too little too late. Rookie wide receiver Romeo Doubs expects to return to action after missing time due to an ankle injury.
Romeo Doubs said he fully expects to play Monday night against the Rams. Hasn’t played since injuring his ankle on the first offensive play against the Lions in Week 9.

Doubs has been unavailable since injuring his ankle in the Packers' Week 9 15-9 loss to the Detroit Lions, arguably the nadir of the Packers' disappointing 5-8 season. He had nabbed 31 receptions for 314 yards and three touchdowns over nine appearances to that point in the year.
Before his departure, Doubs has been easily the Packers most promising rookie receiver. Second-round pick Christian Watson had only caught 10 balls for a paltry 88 yards across his first games. But with Doubs out of the picture, Watson flourished: he has 15 receptions for 313 yards and an amazing seven touchdowns over his last four games. If Doubs can pick up where he left off without cutting into Watson's production, it's possible the Packers could have two promising young stars at wide receiver. This season may be beyond saving, but it'd be something to look forward to next year.
Watson joined the Packers as their 132nd overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft after four years at Nevada. With 225 receptions for 3322 receiving yards and 26 touchdowns in 43 appearances for the Wolf Pack, he projected as a solid possession receiver in the slot.
