The move opens up a 21-day window for Maddox to return to the active roster, otherwise, he'll revert to the IR for the rest of the season.
The twenty-six-year-old has been out for the last four games and, probably, won't play this week against the New York Giants.
In seven games this season, Maddox has 27 total tackles, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one interception and three passes defended.
He is a former fourth-round pick by the Eagles in the 2018 NFL Draft.
