Denver Broncos Ownership Throws Support Behind Starting Quarterback
The Denver Broncos have been an unmitigated disaster thus far in 2022, with their QB situation and offence struggling mightily, and with Russell Wilson locked down long-term, it's clear that this team need to make it work going forward with the former Super Bowl winner.
With Head Coach Nathaniel Hackett and others already fired before the season ended, the Head Coach search will need to be as thorough as possible this off-season, with Sean Payton likely to be at the top of their list, but no matter what, Wilson is here to stay.
The ownership group confirmed their support today, as owner and CEO Greg Penner threw all his support behind the much maligned Quarterback, claiming that he knows he can play better and has the potential to bounce back in 2022, so this is a franchise committed to making it work with Russ.Asked why he believes in Russell Wilson, #Broncos owner and CEO Greg Penner says it was a long-term decision, not about one season. "He knows he can play better. We know he can play better. And we know he'll do the right work in the offseason to be better next year."
