Dallas Cowboys "Confident" Wide Receiver Will Be Available in Week 13
The Dallas Cowboys' passing attack should be close to the peak of its powers for their Week 13 showdown against the Indianapolis Colts. Head coach Mike McCarthy declared at a Friday press conference that he was confident wide receiver Michael Gallup would be available for the Sunday Night Football matchup, despite missing practice this week with an illness.
While Mike McCarthy wasn't sure if Trevon Diggs or Michael Gallup, who are battling an illness, would be at The Star Friday, he is confident both will be available Sunday against the Colts. Same with Terence Steele, who missed Thursday for personal reasons.

Gallup has totalled 274 receiving yards in eight appearances this season for the Cowboys. He missed the first three weeks of the year as he recuperated from an ACL tear suffered late in the 2021 regular season.
The Cowboys offense has found its rhythm in recent weeks after a rough start to the season. Quarterback Dak Prescott's return from a thumb injury and Gallup's continued recovery have coincided with an offensive boom for the team. After averaging 18.3 points per game over their first six contests, the Cowboys have averaged 33.8 points per game over their last five matchups.
Gallup initially joined the Cowboys as the 81st overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft. He quickly outperformed his draft slot, nabbing 158 receptions for 2457 receiving yards over his first 46 appearances with the team. The Cowboys rewarded his solid play with a five-year, $57.5 million contract earlier this year.
