Chicago Bears Waive Defensive End
Sometimes in the NFL, taking a player in the first-round gives them a weight of expectation that they simply can't live up too, even if they end up as solid role players, and unfortunately for Taco Charlton, a former No. 28 overall pick back in the 2017 NFL Draft, it appears that's exactly what has happened.
In his career thus far, Dallas, Miami, Kansas City, Pittsburgh, New Orleans and Chicago, and over that time, he's been solid, racking up 11.5 sacks, 4 forced fumbles, 3 pass deflections and 1 fumble recovery, but it just hasn't been enough for someone of such immense talent, and yesterday, Chicago made the decision to waive him.
With so many teams needing bodies up front on the defensive line, there's a very good chance that he gets claimed at some point today, but right now, he's proven that he can't be any more than a depth player who can deliver occasionally, so some team should definitely take a chance on him.The #Bears have waived DE Taco Charlton and claimed former #Broncos CB Michael Ojemudia off waivers.
