Cardinals Defensive End Undergoes Hand Surgery

He was forced out of Monday's game early against the New England Patriots.

Arizona Cardinals defensive end Zach Allen underwent surgery on his injured left hand this week.

Allen suffered the hand injury in Monday's loss to the Patriots, and head coach Kliff Kingsbury has ruled him out for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos.

The twenty-five-year-old's status for the rest of the season is still unclear. However, the fact that the team has not yet put him on the injured reserve could suggest that they still expect him to return before the season's over.

In 13 games this season, Allen has 47 total tackles, 5.5 sacks and eight passes defended. He was the Cardinals' third-round selection in the 2019 NFL Draft.
