Broncos Running Back Suffers High-Ankle Sprain; Season Likely Over
Per source, no fracture on RB Mike Boone's ankle but another serious high ankle sprain. Same ankle and high sprain that put him on 4-week IR last month.

A similar recovery time would end his season. A free agent after the season. Effective when healthy. #9sports

It's reportedly the same ankle that put Boone on the injured reserve last month. If he faces the same recovery time, which would probably be best case scenario, Boone's season would still be over.
It's a tough blow for the twenty-seven-year-old impending free agent, who will finish his season with 100 rushing yards on 21 attempts and 96 receiving yards across nine receptions over eight games.
He should draw some attention this offseason from teams looking to add some depth at the running back position.
