Bears Place Linebacker On Season-Ending Injured Reserve

He was forced out of Week 15's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Now, the Chicago Bears have placed linebacker Jack Sanborn on the injured reserve, ending his season.

Sanborn suffered an ankle injury in Sunday's game and had to be carted off the field.

The undrafted rookie had himself a nice season, earning a starting role on the Bears after the team traded away Roquan Smith.

The twenty-two-year-old finishes his season with 64 total tackles, two sacks and one fumble recovery over 14 games.

The future looks bright for the young linebacker.
