Arizona Cardinals Star DE Set to Retire
In a Twitter post on his personal account, Arizona Cardinals defensive end J.J. Watt announced that he is retiring at the end of the season.
Koa’s first ever NFL game.

My last ever NFL home game.
My heart is filled with nothing but love and gratitude. It’s been an absolute honor and a pleasure.

This is a bit of surprising development, as Watt has been having a very solid season in 2022. In 14 games, he has recorded 9.5 sacks to go along with 33 combined tackles. Yet, even while playing some strong football, he is ready to move on to the next chapter.
Watt will surely be a Hall of Famer, so it is sad to see him go. The 2011 first-round pick has plenty of accolades. He is a five-time Pro Bowler, three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, five-time First-Team All-Pro, two-time Second-Team All-Pro, and two-time NFL Sacks Leader. What a career it's been, but now the veteran is ready to hang them up.
