Arizona Cardinals Name Starting QB For Week 16
The Arizona Cardinals, like many teams in 2022 have been dealing with plenty of injury issues, and after losing Kyler Murray to a season ending injury, they've now announced that Colt McCoy will miss Week 16 with a concussion, leading to the first career start for Trace McSorley.
The Cardinals season is officially done, as they were eliminated from playoff contention following their Week 15 loss, but with their Week 16 opponents the Tampa Bay Buccaneers still fighting to keep control of the NFC South, they have a good chance to play spoiler, with McSorley having a good chance to prove himself over the next three games.
McSorley was a standout at Penn State, and was taken in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, but through 7 career appearances, he's struggled mightily, with a 1/3 TD/INT ratio, but now, he'll be getting first team reps in practice, so we will wait and see how he goes in his first career start.#AZCardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury announces that QB Colt McCoy is out with a concussion.
