49ers Sign Quarterback
The San Francisco 49ers have suddenly found themselves in a frightening quarterback situation.
With Jimmy Garroppolo going down for the season with a broken foot, the team had to bring on another QB.
As a result, the 49ers have signed quarterback Josh Johnson off of the Denver Broncos practice squad.

It appears likely that the 49ers will use Brock Purdy as their starting quarterback, and Johnson will provide a strong veteran presence with the ability to fill in for Purdy, if needed.
Over his eight-year NFL career, Johnson has 2,270 passing yards with 13 passing touchdowns and 16 interceptions over 37 games played.
