49ers Defensive Back Out For The Season
Despite leading the NFC West and being in a prime position to make a statement come playoff time, they've been one of the teams hardest hit by injury in the entire NFL thus far in 2022, and unfortunately, it only gets worse, as wide receiver Deebo Samuel is likely to miss a few games, but worse news came for defensive back Dontae Johnson.
Unfortunately for the veteran, he has suffered a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the 49ers season, and while he doesn't draw the attention of someone like Nick Bosa, he's been a key cog for this secondary, and will be missed by this team down the stretch.#49ers DT Kevin Givens has an MCL sprain. The Niners expect him to be "out a few weeks."

DB Dontae Johnson has a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the season.
In his career, Johnson has hauled in just 2 Interceptions, as so much of his contributions don't show up on the stat sheet, and while the 49ers are arguably the best team in the NFL at overcoming injuries, there's a time when teams just can't get past them.
