49ers Brock Purdy Undergoing MRI
He suffered an oblique injury in Sunday's massive 35-7 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy is receiving an MRI on Monday.
Purdy played through an oblique injury he picked up during the second drive of Sunday's rout of the Bucs, a game that the young quarterback completed 16 of 21 pass attempts for 185 yards and two passing touchdowns, in addition to one rushing touchdown.
22 seconds left, no time-outs and Kyle Shanahan dials up the double-move on the outside.

Once again, Brock Purdy knows he's going to get drilled after this throw, hangs in tough and delivers a touchdown to Brandon Aiyuk.

Nothing is official yet, and the fact that Purdy was able to complete the game without seemingly any issue is a great sign but, regardless, a potential loss of another quarterback would be devastating to the 49ers. With the quick turnaround before Thursday night's game against the Seattle Seahawks, Purdy's status will definitely be worth monitoring.
If Purdy can't go on Thursday, Josh Johnson would seem to be in line to start.
