Update On Texans Disgruntled Wide Receiver Situation

He missed Week 9's game against the Philadelphia Eagles after expressing his frustration about not being traded to a contending team at the trade deadline.

However, Houston Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks was in attendance for the team's practice on Wednesday, but was on the sideline for drills during the open portion of the session and is expected to be listed as a non-participant on the team's first Week 10 injury report.
Cooks was listed as questionable last week and, ultimately, did not play in Week 9's game due to a personal matter and a wrist injury. Despite being listed on the injury report, it seems much more likely that the wide receiver's absence was due to his disappointment of not being dealt at the Nov. 1 deadline.

Cooks did return to the team's facility on Friday and, with his presence at practice Wednesday, it would appear that he is starting to put his frustration aside and get back to playing with the Texans this week against the New York Giants.

A good note also is that Wednesdays have been rest days for Cooks all season long, so there's a good chance we see the receiver practicing in full on Thursday.
