Two Rookies Lead All Cornerbacks In Pro Bowl Voting
The NFL just released the results so far for the fan voting side of the 2022/23 Pro Bowl, and there were few surprises in the overall vote-getter category, with Justin Jefferson, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Saquon Barkley and Tyreek Hill making up the top 5, but beyond that, there were certainly a few surprises.
One of the biggest surprises comes at the cornerback position, with both the AFC and NFC leading vote-getters at the position being rookies in the form of the New York Jets Sauce Gardner and Seattle Seahawks standout Tariq Woolen.
The surprise isn't from their level of play, as both are very deserving of Pro Bowl nominations and potential All-Pro status, but rather than they are both garnering this level of attention, with players like Darius Slay, D.J. Reed and others balling out all season long, and while this isn't the final vote tally and note the only contributing factor to the Pro Bowl nominees, it's a nod to the special season both young stars are having.#Vikings WR Justin Jefferson, with 90,313 votes, leads all players in fan voting for the 2023 Pro Bowl Games. pic.twitter.com/vSyOhGtA12
