Timeline Set For Cowboys Star Tackle To Return To Practice

Tyron Smith is considered one of the best offensive tackles of this generation, so when he went down with a hamstring injury this off-season, it could have been potentially devastating for this Cowboys team, but thus far, with rookie Tyler Smith sliding over to the tackle spot, they've been able to cover his injury quite well. Now, it appears Tyron is closing in on a return, as Stephen Jones has declared that the 4-time All-Pro is about 3-4 weeks away from being able to activate his 21-day practice window, a huge sigh of relief for Cowboys fans.

While there's some question about what they should do upon his return, it's clear that Tyler Smith, the rookie out of Tulsa is ready to play at a high level anywhere along the line, so he should slide into the left guard spot nicely, while Tyron takes back his key left tackle spot along this elite line.

In his absence, the Cowboys have streaked out to a 6-2 record early in the year, and saw an incredible rushing attack in Week 8 without him, but when Dallas' offensive line gets back to full health, this is going to be an incredibly tough team to stop on both sides of the ball.
