Hewitt failed to practice Wednesday and will consequently be held out on a short week. He's primarily made it onto the field as part of the special teams unit.
Through seven games this season, Hewitt has just six total tackles (five solo). The twenty-nine-year-old is in his eighth NFL season, totaling 106 career games, recording 418 total tackles (270 solo), with 7.5 sacks and three interceptions. He's spent time with the Miami Dolphins, New York Jets and the Texans.
