Texans Head Coach Hints At Quarterback Changes Coming
The quarterback situation in Houston is messy right now.
Houston Texans head coach Lovie Smith suggested that changes are coming, changes which could involve Kyle Allen replacing Davis Mills as the starting quarterback.
During his Monday press conference, when asked about a QB change, Smith said ''we're not pleased with where we are. Do we need to do some things differently? Yes, and we will.''
During his Monday press conference, Texans’ HC Lovie Smith left the door open to a QB change this week, going away from Davis Mills to Kyle Allen. “We're not pleased with where we are,” Smith said. “Do we need to do some things differently? Yes, and we will.”

Lovie Smith's comments are much different than last week when he was asked the same question.
The QB changes seem inevitable, as Mills had just 22 passing yards and a pick-six in the first half of the Texan's loss to the Washington Commanders on Sunday. The week prior, Mills had just 35 yards in the first half against the New York Giants.
Allen has not started an NFL game in two years, but with the Texans already ranked last in yards per game and 30th in points per game, he can't do much worse.
