Leal was placed on the Steelers' injured reserve ahead of the Steelers' Week 6 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The rookie defensive end will have a 21-day window to practice and be restored to the active roster, or he'll be forced to miss the remainder of the season on the IR.
Over his first five NFL games, Leal has recorded nine total tackles and three passes defended. The twenty-two-year-old was a third-round pick by the Steelers in the 2022 NFL Draft.
