Status Of Falcons Running Back For Week 9 Will Be Made On Saturday
The Atlanta Falcons have been dealing with plenty of injuries throughout the season thus far, but 8 weeks in, they have a 4-4 record with sole possession of first place in the NFC South, and today, they announced even more bad news on the injury front, as star cornerback A.J. Terrell was ruled out for the teams Week 9 clash with the Los Angeles Chargers.
They could receive some great news a day before the game however, as running back Cordarrelle Patterson has returned from Injured Reserve, and could potentially return this week, but a decision will be made tomorrow, according to Head Coach Arthur Smith. Patterson has missed the teams past four games due to a knee injury, but in his absence, the team have been surging, so with his potential return, this team could get even better.#Falcons CB AJ Terrell (hamstring) and LG Elijah Wilkinson (knee) are out for Sunday’s game against the Chargers, according to Arthur Smith. Through four games, Patterson had 360 all purpose yards to go along with 3 Touchdowns, and if he can pick back up where he left off along with Tyler Algeheir, this team could be a dark horse to make a solid playoff run in 2022.
