Saints Waive Young Guard
The New Orleans Saints, like several other teams around the NFL have gotten off to a very disappointingly slow start to the 2022 season, and as that usually does, it has led to a few roster decisions, including today, when the team officially waived young guard Wyatt Davis, who was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in round three of the 2021 NFL Draft.
He would go on to appear in 6 games in his rookie campaign, but lost out to Oli Udoh, and was later released ahead of the 2022 season, and now, the Saints have officially waived him, meaning that a third team in just two years has given up on his talents. The Saints have waived G Wyatt Davis and cut RB Jake Funk and QB Brett Hundley from the practice squad.

In college at Ohio State, Davis was one of the best offensive lineman in all of college football, but at the NFL level, he's just failed to catch on, but at 23-years of age, the 2020 Offensive Lineman of the Year in college has plenty of time to continue to develop, so this certainly isn't the end.
