Saints Sign Former First-Round Wide Receiver To The Active Squad
The New Orleans Saints have just placed star receiver Michael Thomas on season ending reserve last week, leaving them with Jarvis Landry and Chris Olave as their top two receivers, and in an effort to give their team some depth, today, they've signed Kevin White to the active squad, and he is expected to play tonight against the Baltimore Ravens.
White was drafted No. 7 overall back in 2015, but unfortunately, he hasn't been able to gain any momentum in the league, putting together just 27 catches for 387 yards in his entire career, without a single trip to the endzone. He has been with the Saints since 2021, but hasn't had much game time, and now, with a spot open, there's a chance that he can finally start putting some solid performances together. The Saints have signed WR Kevin White to the 53-man roster, activated CB P.J. Williams off of IR and elevated RB Jordan Howard from the practice squad.

There's been plenty of wide receivers taken in the first round to bust in recent memory, but none have been more disappointing than White, who was expected to be a huge part of the Bears future when he was drafted, but now, at 30-years old, he still has plenty of time to salvage his career and contribute to an NFL franchise.
