Saints Cornerback Will Return In Week 9
He's ready to return.
The New Orleans Saints have designated cornerback P.J. Williams to return from the injured reserve.
Williams landed on the injured reserve with a quadriceps injury ahead of the Saints' Week 5 game against the Seattle Seahawks.
The thirty-year-old cornerback will have a 21-day window to practice before the Saints have to restore him to the active roster, or else he'll revert to the injured reserve for the rest of the season.
Williams won't need 21 days, however, as he said he'll be ready to return as soon as Week 9's game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Saints defensive back P.J. Williams, who was placed on injured reserve with a quad injury, told me his recovery is going good and should be ready to go this week against the Ravens.

Williams was emerging as a big part of the Saints' secondary defense before the injury, and his first game back will come on Monday night against the Ravens.
Through four games this season, Williams has 11 total tackles (six solo) and two passes defended.
