Rams and Cardinals Starting Quarterbacks Out for Week 10
A crucial Week 10 NFC West showdown has taken an unusual turn. NFL Insider Jay Glazer reported on the Fox pre-game show that Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray would both be declared out for their Sunday afternoon showdown.
Stafford was a surprise addition to the Rams' injury report on Wednesday with concussion symptoms. He had played 100% of his team's snaps in Week 9's 16-13 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was listed as questionable after logging a limited practice on Friday.Jay Glazer on the Fox NFL Sunday pregame show just said both Matthew Stafford (concussion) and Kyler Murray (hamstring) will be OUT today. https://t.co/t1eM2BEMUy

Murray had been listed as questionable after limited participation at practice on Thursday and Friday. He tweaked his hamstring during his team's Week 9 31-21 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
With the Rams 3-5 and the Cardinals 3-6, Sunday's 4:25 PM ET showdown will be essential in keeping either team alive in the NFC. Of the two backups set to play, Cardinals' quarterback Colt McCoy is the more accomplished. He led the Cardinals to a 2-1 record in three starts last year. Rams second-string quarterback John Wolford has two interceptions on his 42 career pass attempts.
