Averett already missed four weeks early in the season with a thumb injury, and he'll now be required to miss at least the next four games as well, however, the Raiders have already announced that his season is over.
In seven games this season, the twenty-seven-year-old recorded 13 total tackles and one pass defended in his Raiders debut.
Averett was a fourth-round pick by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2018 NFL Draft and spent the last four seasons with the club.
