Panthers Safety Could Return This Week
He's been out seven straight weeks.
Carolina Panthers interim defensive coordinator Al Holcomb said Thursday that he's hopeful that safety Jeremy Chinn will be available for Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Interim DC Al Holcomb says S Jeremy Chinn has "looked good" in practice, and they're "hopeful" about his status coming off the hamstring injury. Will continue to monitor him throughout the week of practice before heading to Baltimore.

Holcomb acknowledged Chinn's ''dynamic'' ability to contribute at multiple positions, and there's no doubt that the return of the safety would be a big boost for the Panthers' defense.
In four games this season, Chinn has 20 total tackles, one sack and two passes defended. The former second-round pick was designated to return from the injured reserve last week.
