Panthers Confirm Walker Will Remain Starting QB

The Carolina Panthers came up big for their third win of the 2022 season over the division rival Atlanta Falcons on Thursday Night Football, and despite sitting at just 3-7 on the year, they may remain one game out of first place in the division if the Seattle Seahawks can take down the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Germany this week.

This season has been a rollercoaster for Carolina, as they were blown out just a week ago by Cincinnati, and they turned to Baker Mayfield for the second half of that one, so there was a solid chance that they would turn back to the veteran yet again in Week 10. With the short week, Steve Wilks opted to stick with PJ Walker, and after the win, it looks like the young QB will be under centre again, despite having Mayfield, a proven NFL QB on the bench, as well as Sam Darnold getting healthy this past week.

Despite the Panthers struggles, they are still somehow in the race for the NFC South, and Walker has provided the team with their most success in 2022, so it looks like unless something dramatic changes, he will be the man going forward.
