Packers Release Running Back
He played primarily on special teams.
The Green Bay Packers have waived running back Patrick Taylor.
After not suiting up for the season opener, Taylor appeared in seven straight games but played mostly on special teams. Taylor being cut suggests Kylin Hill will be activated from the injured reserve ahead of Week 9 to serve as the No. 3 running back behind Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon.
#Packers released RB Patrick Taylor from the 53-man roster and OLB Kobe Jones from the practice squad. This was done so that they could activate RB Kylin Hill from PUP and re-sign Taylor to the practice squad. Hill will be available this week.

If Taylor clears waivers, Green Bay will likely re-sign him to a practice squad deal.
Taylor has appeared in 16 career NFL games, recording 89 rushing yards on 23 attempts and one touchdown.
