NFL Rumors: Rams Make Massive Trade Offer For Star Linebacker
It seems like the Carolina Panthers are in the middle of a fire sale, as the team is off to a 1-5 start and have already traded two of it's top offensive players.
However, there's one player they seem very unwilling to part with: Brian Burns.
Understandably so, the twenty-four-year-old linebacker was the team's 1st-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and has lived up to his hype. So far this year, Burns already has 36 tackles (21 solo) and a whopping five sacks through eight games.
Even a monster trade offer, that could significantly help with the team's rebuilding process does not seem to be enough to tempt them. The Los Angeles Rams made such an offer, as it's been reported that the team offered multiple 1st-round picks to the Panthers for Burns.

.@AlbertBreer just confirmed it was the Los Angeles Rams who offered multiple first-round picks to the Carolina Panthers for Brian Burns.

I can't believe Carolina didn't take that trade.
The Rams' next 1st-round pick is in 2024, so they presumably offered 1st-round picks in 2024 and 2025.
It remains to be seen if the Panthers will deal their star linebacker before the 4 PM deadline on Tuesday.
Update: The Rams have also offered running back Cam Akers in talks with the Panthers.
