NFL Rumors: Raiders Head Coach Isn't On the Hot Seat
Despite the fact that Week 9 of the 2022 NFL season has only just wrapped up, we have already seen the second Head Coach of the season fired, as Frank Reich followed Matt Rhule, and now, attention will turn to other struggling teams, with names like Nathaniel Hackett and Josh McDaniels among the ones that have been rumoured to be on the hot seat.
Now, CBS Sport' Josina Anderson has confirmed the contrary, as her sources indicate that McDaniels job is safe for now, as the team believe that he's doing a good job, but the team is simply struggling to close out games. The Raiders are 2-6 to start the season, with 3 losses that came after they held a lead of at least 17 points or more, and with such a talented offence, it's safe to say that everyone in the building is no doubt disappointed with the year so far.#Raiders coach Josh McDaniels job is currently ‘safe’, per @JosinaAnderson

For now, it appears that McDaniels won't be the next Head Coach fired through the season, but if they can't pull it together and at least challenge for an AFC Wild Card spot by the end of the season, there's at least a good chance that the team look to go in a different direction, and potentially in more ways than just Head Coach.
