NFL Rumors: Packers Offered First-Round Pick For Star Receiver

It's been well documented by now that the Green Bay Packers were in hot pursuit of several big name weapons at the NFL Trade Deadline, but were outbid for Chase Claypool, and were shut down by several other teams, but today, it's been revealed just how hard the team went after a specific star receiver, that could have helped completely spark this offence.

According to ESPN's Jay Glazer, the Packers offer for the Carolina Panthers star wide receiver D.J. Moore went as high as a first round pick, and after hearing that they turned down two firsts and a second for Brian Burns, it's no surprise that Carolina opted to stay with their young stars.

It's clear now that the Panthers are backing their young group of players to lure in a star head coach, and given the lack of success right now in the NFC South, it makes sense that this team believe they can turn it around with their group of young players, but after turning down a combined three firsts and a second, now only time will tell whether that was a good move or not.
