NFL Rumors: Packers Looked To Acquire WR But Weren't Willing To Pay The Price
The Green Bay Packers did nothing at the trade deadline.
More importantly, the Packers did not trade for a receiver, a position they need dire help at.
The Packers reportedly did check in on Denver Broncos' wide receiver Jerry Jeudy. However, they were not willing to pay the asking price for him, which was a 2nd-round pick plus another pick in the middle rounds.
For the record the Packers did check in on WR Jerry Jeudy, but weren't close to offering what would have been needed.

Jeudy is a very capable receiver, and would have been a big addition for Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Also, for a team looking to contend this year, it's a little odd they wouldn't try to acquire a solid receiver.
Realistically, will the Packers draft a receiver as good as Jeudy with those picks in the upcoming draft? In addition, Jeudy isn't a free agent until the 2025 season, another appealing factor.
Through Week 8, the twenty-three-year-old has 30 catches for 449 yards and three touchdowns on 54 targets while playing with the, thus far, atrocious Russell Wilson.
One would think the Packers will go all out to try and sign free agent WR Odell Beckham Jr. now, as he appears to be the last chance the team has to try and contend this season.
