NFL Rumors: Lions' Rookie Wide Receiver Could Debut in Week 13
The Detroit Lions could finally see their first-round pick in action soon. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that wide receiver Jameson Williams could see regular season action as soon as next week following Monday's return to practice.
Williams tore his ACL in the NCAA College Football Playoff National Championship game in January of 2022. Despite the injury, the Lions drafted Williams 12th overall in this year's draft, banking on his enormous long-term potential. He'll have a chance to reward their faith in the closing stretch of the season. The #Lions obviously won't have rookie WR Jameson Williams today, but as he looks to return from a torn ACL in college, he's coming soon. This week's wasn't a full-speed practice, but next week's will be. If he makes it through unscathed, there is a good chance he's activated.

Williams flashed a game-breaking skillset at wide receiver in college. He hauled in 79 receptions for 1572 yards and 15 touchdowns in 15 appearances at Alabama during his junior season, and projects as a long, explosive outside deep threat. He'll serve as an ideal complement to Amon-Ra St. Brown's gritty underneath game.
